Founded in 2009 by best friends and expert stylists Alex and Emma, The Cabinet Salon has grown into one of Toronto’s most sought-after destinations for craft hairdressing, great conversation, and true relaxation.

Located on the historic corner of Queen and Portland, our salon resides in a stunning 19th-century building with floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with natural light and offer a perfect view for people-watching. The Cabinet prides itself on being a comfortable, welcoming environment where clients feel at home and cared for by our friendly, talented team.

Recognized as one of Toronto’s best salons, we specialize in precision cutting, balayage, creative colour, keratin treatments, and extensions. Our team of dynamic hairstylists bring both technical expertise and a personalized approach to every service.

We offer an hourly, gender-neutral, gratuity-free pricing model designed to be inclusive and transparent. Each stylist’s hourly rate reflects their experience and specialties, and includes all products and techniques needed for your service.

Sustainability and community are at the heart of our mission. Our Queen West salon is a certified sustainable salon, recovering up to 95% of our beauty waste through the Green Circle Salons program. We also carry a curated selection of professional haircare products and donate 5% of all retail sales to The Rainbow Railroad Foundation.
